Writer: J.Ellis FootballJ.Ellis Football

J.Ellis Football are delighted to share the news that we have raised an amazing total of £912.35 for our Jordan Chiedozie fundraiser.

In just over 48 hours, and with a lot of thank you’s needed to many people - our fixtures tonight were a great success.

First & foremost, our sponsor of this evenings matches, Harbourwood Homes, made a significant financial contribution towards our grand total. We thank them for their support of this - especially given the very tight timeframe we were working against.

Our opposition, New Milton Town Robins, have been a brilliant advert for grassroots youth football. The parents & participants generously donated & were part of a special night. Particular thanks must go to Roy Saines - who, alongside James, was pivotal in making sure we could dedicate these matches to Jordan.

Our facility provider, BH Live Active also supported the event - and Candyce Walter who has been J.Ellis Football’s key contact throughout our time at Littledown over the years was brilliant in her speed of organisation and support.

Our media partner Calum McCarron was there tonight to capture some amazing pictures of the event, and we look forward to sharing more photos in due course. Paul from Merox Screenprint & Embroidery, who is our kit printing partner, acted quickly and generously to make our ‘Chiedozie 11’ shirt, whilst DPI Printers managed to step in to create our donation buckets - both with a days notice!

James said:

“On Wednesday, when I saw that the Bashley players had started a fundraiser - I decided that it was only right that if I could help in any way, I should.

I had hoped I may be able to pull together a couple of hundred pounds from our small but committed community. However, to be able to make the donation of over £900 is just a testament to everyone involved over the last couple of days.

Jordan & Reighan were doing something I’ve done hundreds of times - simply driving home on a Saturday night from a game football. Add in that it was from a club that I have such a huge affection for, Bashley, and to a person that I have recently directly worked with - it just really threw me.

I’m really proud of our community we have here, and I am just hoping that Jordan can keep fighting this horrendous situation”.

We’d encourage anyone that reads this article to please donate what you can via the link below.
