Harbourwood Homes Sponsor Inugaral Fixtures

Writer: J.Ellis FootballJ.Ellis Football

We are hugely grateful to Harbourwood Homes who have incredibly generously chosen to sponsor our inaugural fixtures this coming Friday.

On Friday Night, J.Ellis Football welcome New Milton Town Robins for our first ever fixtures. Whilst we are incredibly excited, the local football community has been rocked this week by the terrible news that local player, Jordan Chiedozie suffered horrendous injuries in a collision on his way back from Bashley FC’s Southern League Fixture at Tavistock.

Club physio Reighan Taylor has also suffered huge trauma, being present at the incident and bravely doing what she could. Thankfully, Reighan didn’t suffer any physical injury, but of course has incurred the mental trauma by this horrendous event.

Jordan has recieved surgical treatement and been put into an induced coma. He is facing life-changing and life-threatening injuries.

Jordan is a former player of AFC Bournemouth and many teams across the football league and non-league pyramid. Jordan was managed by James Ellis during his time at Poole Town FC, and at the time of this tragic event - was representing another former club in James’ football background, Bashley FC.

James said:

"This news was shocking, and I’ve been trying to think of ways to support over the last couple of days.

I reached out to Roy Saines from NMTR as we are due to play them on Friday - and with his support, we’ve decided to dedicate these matches to Jordan.

We’re hopeful that between the parents of J.Ellis Football representative teams & New Milton Town Robins, we can raise some funds for Jordan.

Jordan is certainly a fighter, and it’s important that anyone who can do something, does. Whilst we may be a small community here, we’re a tight-knit one - so I hope in doing this, we can support in some way.

The last 24 hours has been full focus on this, and I can’t thank Steve at Harbourwood Homes enough in agreeing to sponsor these matches.

Also, BH Live, our facility provider, is kindly supporting the event. We’ve been trying to pull on any resources we can in a short window to try and help.

Keep fighting, Jordan”.
