New Partner Club Announced

J.Ellis Football are delighted to announce a new club partnership that will see our coaches go in and deliver our DNA Introduction Course at Wimborne Town U’9s.

We caught up with Coach Richie Steel to find out how it all came about.

Firstly, welcome to J.Ellis Football! Could we ask for a bit of a background on the group that our coaches will be working with?

“So we have taken the decision as coaches to move club to Wimborne Town from our current club. With this we have taken a number of children that we believe would benefit from the move, but also add to the team with new recruits.”

What does training currently look like for you?

“We really have struggled with training sessions over the last year or so due to a number of reasons. Creating a new team allows us to pick kids that want to come to training, learn, develop and have fun. The coaching set up is made up of dads that have played a lot of football previously, however need more guidance on the next steps.”

How did you hear about us?

“I saw a Facebook post, did some research through reviews then remember seeing James face from doing my Level 1 FA course and thought this opportunity would be great!”

Why did you want to get involved?

“To have coaches that do this as a profession, or indeed training there way to the highest level is great for the players to learn from but I think for the coaches is more beneficial. For us to view how sessions are structured, ran and see the results going forward is what we feel we need.”

Finally, what do you hope to get out of the course?

“As a new team, we are hoping starting the training early season will benefit us hugely, teaching the new team how to play the right way, getting rid of any bad habits and hopefully seeing the hard work pay off with some wins.”

The sessions will begin in September & we’re so excited to meet all of the players, coaches & parents. In the meantime, click here to read all about our most recent club course with Greenfields. If you're a local grassroots club - we'd love to come & support your unique environment - head to our clubs page to find out more and book.

Stay tuned for further updates on Wimborne!
